After more than four decades in the glass sector, GEDASA presents its new corporate identity and website, and starts its activity on LinkedIn. A renewal that aims to better reflect the company's current reality and make it easier for industry professionals to work with us.
Since 1985, GEDASA has been manufacturing and distributing hardware and technical solutions for glass projects. Over these years we have accompanied the evolution of a sector that has changed considerably, both in the materials and systems used and in the technical and aesthetic demands of projects. Glass has taken on an increasingly important role in architecture and space design, and hardware has evolved to meet new needs for functionality, safety, durability and architectural integration.
Our company has also adapted to these changes. We have expanded our product families, added new solutions and consolidated relationships with specialist European manufacturers. All this while keeping a way of working that we consider essential: knowing the products we offer well, understanding our customers' needs and giving them the advice they need to find the most suitable solution in each case.
After so many years, we felt the time had come to also review how we present ourselves and how we communicate what we do. Our previous image and website no longer adequately reflected the breadth of our offer or the specialisation we have gained over time. That is the origin of this renewal project, which includes a new corporate identity, a new website and the launch of our company profile on LinkedIn.
The renewal of our corporate identity responds to our wish to have an image that is more up to date and consistent with our activity. We wanted a simple, recognisable brand that would allow us to communicate clearly our specialisation in hardware and technical solutions for glass.
“We have been working in this sector for many years and our company has changed considerably since it began. We have expanded our products, added new solutions and adapted to our customers' needs. However, our image had not evolved at the same pace. We wanted it to better reflect what GEDASA is today, without losing the identity of a family business that has been linked to glass for more than forty years,” explains Laia Nieto, managing director of GEDASA.
This process has also led us to reflect on what sets us apart. Throughout our history we have seen that, in our sector, having a good range of products is important, but so is knowing their characteristics, their limitations and their possible applications. The choice of a hinge, a door closer or a fixing system depends on many factors, from the dimensions and weight of the glass to the conditions of use, the characteristics of the installation and the desired aesthetic result.
That is why an important part of our work consists of supporting professionals in these decisions. Our accumulated experience, our contact with manufacturers and our knowledge of our customers' needs allow us to offer a perspective that goes beyond supplying a product.
Our new identity incorporates the concept “We open spaces”, an expression linked to our activity and to the possibilities our solutions offer in shaping spaces. It is a simple way of explaining the role our products play in projects where glass makes it possible to separate, connect and give continuity to different areas.
One of the most important changes is the launch of our new website. We have designed it as a working tool for industry professionals, with information organised to make it easy to learn about our activity, browse the product families and explore the solutions available for different applications.
The website presents our range of hardware for glass doors, interior partitions, enclosures and special projects. The product families include hinges, locks, hydraulic door closers, framed doors, patch fittings, automatic door seals, electronic systems and various accessories and fixing elements. This range combines our own products with solutions from the European manufacturers we work with.
We have placed particular emphasis on the applications of our products because we know that our customers' enquiries do not always start from a specific reference. Often what they need is to solve a particular situation: find a suitable system for a door of specific dimensions, improve the closing of an installation or add a solution that meets certain operating or design requirements.
The new website also includes a news section where we will share information about new products, solutions, applications and other news related to our activity. We want it to be an information channel that we can expand and update as we add new solutions to our catalogue.
To coincide with the launch of the new identity and website, we have also created our corporate profile on LinkedIn. Until now, our communication had mainly taken place through direct relationships with customers, suppliers and partners. This contact will remain essential to the way we work, but we believe that having a professional channel such as LinkedIn will allow us to share information more continuously and make our activity better known.
Through this platform we will publish product news, information about technical solutions, applications of our hardware and content related to the glass sector. It will also allow us to stay in touch with professionals we already work with and reach others who may be interested in our products and services.
We see LinkedIn as a complement to the service and advice we usually offer. Our aim is to use this channel to share some of the knowledge we have gained over all these years and help professionals discover the different solutions we work with.
For us, this renewal also has a personal side. GEDASA is a family business and many of the relationships we currently have with customers and suppliers have been built over years of collaboration. We know how important that trust is and we know that keeping it depends above all on our daily work, the attention we give to each enquiry and our ability to provide answers when our customers need them.
“One of the things I value most about our history is the relationships we have built with customers and suppliers. There are professionals we have been working with for many years, and that is not something you achieve overnight. It is important for us that they know that, behind every enquiry, they will still find people who know the product, who understand their work and who try to help them find the best solution,” says Laia Nieto.
With the new image, the website and LinkedIn we want to make information about our company more accessible and make the range of products and solutions we have developed over the years better known. It is an update we considered necessary and one that allows us to face the coming years with tools better suited to today's needs.
We will continue to work with the same attention to the product, to technical detail and to the people we work with. To those who have known us for years, we want to thank them for the trust they have placed in GEDASA. And to those who are getting to know us for the first time, we hope these new channels will help them discover our company and everything we can offer them.
