Easier to install, designed for every space
A few years ago, tempered glass was associated almost exclusively with façades and shop windows. Today we find it in offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, clinics and retail spaces. It divides without closing off, lets light through and gives any interior a cleaner, more contemporary look.
But the quality and performance of a glass door depend largely on its hardware. And of all its components, the lock is a key part: it has to be easy to install, secure, functional and discreet.
That is why, as manufacturers, we at GEDASA have improved one of our benchmark lock series. Introducing the renewed INSIGNIA Series, our range of locks and strike boxes for notched tempered glass doors.
The INSIGNIA Series is now fixed to the glass with 3M adhesive strips, in addition to the stainless steel screws already featured in the original version. A change to its gaskets makes assembly even easier, something installers appreciate on every job, and the result is a perfect fixing on the glass. Behind it is a patented system of European quality and a modern, elegant vertical design that blends seamlessly into the door without taking the spotlight away from the glass.
What is more, locking an office door is not the same as locking a restroom door. That is why INSIGNIA is a series with models for every function. The G.0 is the latch-and-key option with lever handles for office entrances. The G.0CD adds an inside privacy lock and an outside emergency release, so the door can be opened from outside if needed. The G.0D combines a latch with an inside privacy lock and lever handles. And the G.0WC features a vacant/occupied indicator, designed for restrooms. The full range includes dozens of models, so a single series and the same notch in the glass can cover an entire project, from offices and shops to glass partitions and interior spaces, with a consistent look from one room to the next.
The series is compatible with 8, 10 and 12 mm notched tempered glass, the notch being the cut-out machined into the glass to house the lock. It is available in polished stainless steel and satin stainless steel, both in stock for immediate delivery, as well as matt black and matt white lacquer on request, or in any RAL color you need as a special order.
